First I moved to Manhattan, where excellent professors at SVA (School of Visual Arts) taught me to paint and draw very realistically.

The process itself, painting realistically, became too tight though. So as crazy as this might sound, I left Realism behind. (Matisse and Picasso, originally Realists, did the same.)

Next I became a commissioned artist in Manhattan and discovered 'new territory'.

Then I moved to San Francisco, found more patrons who love my art and who get why...

I paint and draw from memory and imagination,
show the way a person, place or other subject feels,
rarely paint the same way twice,
and continue to live and paint in
Pacific Heights.
