Once upon a time with just $850 to my name, I moved from California to Manhattan where excellent professors at SVA (School of Visual Arts) taught me to paint and draw realistically.
But the process of painting realistically became too tight, so as crazy as this might sound I left Realism behind. Interestingly, Matisse and Picasso, originally Realists, did the same.
